Once upon a time deep within a small cave on the planet Alpha, 26 tiny letters struggled to survive. These few Alphians were the last letters left after a comet nearly destroyed planet Alpha. Not far away on planet Earth, humans were starting some early communication in their primitive world. They learned to express themselves with points and grunts, but no real words. Thousands of years before human beings existed, the Alphians traveled to Earth. They left monuments behind, and returned home to Alpha. One day, a couple humans came across a monument. They tried to figure it out, but didn’t have the sounds to help them understand. Back on Alpha, the last Alphians made a deal with the cosmic wind to leave their planet. The wind said to the Alphians, “if I help, you and my wind will be fused as one, on the first planet we land on.” The Alphians agreed, and were swept from the cave off into space by the wind. While flying through space they spotted the beautiful Earth and decided to land. Now on Earth fused with the wind, the Alphians became Alphabet the greatest superhero of all! Alphabet loved his new planet. While spinning around enjoying himself, Alphabet ran into a human. She was swept off her feet by his wind. She recognized the letters in Alphabet. They looked like the same objects in a monument she had seen. She motioned for Alphabet to follow her, so he did. As they reached the monuments, the Alphians knew exactly what to do. They lined up between the monuments and the girl. Next, each Alphian sounded off loudly again and again; A,B,C,D,E,F,G, and so on. They began to make shapes of the things in nature and show the girl how to combine letters with sounds to make words. Not only could Alphabet make words, but he could change into anything that could be imagined! The girl taught many others, and they taught the rest. Soon the humans learned to speak, write, read and think; thanks to Alphabet. Alphabet promised that whenever the humans needed him, they should sing 26 Letters and he would appear. Now in this technological age, the whole world is in need of Alphabet to learn to communicate for the first time at the same time. We better get to singing! Written by: Christian D. Tyler
